American Horror Story Season 6 Premiere Date Announced
07/05/2016 03:52 pm EDT
FX recently debuted American Horror Story's new logo for its upcoming sixth season, and now we know just when that new season will kickoff.
American Horror Story will return to television on Wednesday, September 14th at 10pm (EST). Fittingly the upcoming season is shrouded in mystery, as several theories about the show's premise have since been debunked, like the popular Slender Man premise.
What we do know is that Cheyenne Jackson will be returning for season six and that according to show creator Ryan Murphy the season is inspired by "the opera" and is "set in the present," with "echoes of the past. It's set in two time periods, but principally in the present."
In addition to Cheyenne Jackson, the sixth season will also see the return of actors like Kathy Bates, Denis O'Hare, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Wes Bentley, Finn Wittrock, Matt Bomer, and Lady Gaga, but in what roles still remains a mystery.
FX will debut a new Donald Glover-led series Atlanta for the network on Tuesday, September 6th, and will premiere Pamela Adlon's Better Things on Thursday, September 8th.
