Arrow Season 3 Finale Extended By Over Two Minutes

Apparently Arrow's Season 3 finale is just too big to fit into a traditional 60-minute time block. The episode has had its time extended by 2 minutes and 33 seconds.

We're not sure what those extra minutes will hold, but the CW did just pick up Legends of Tomorrow for next season. Perhaps those two minutes are for a teaser trailer, or in episode setup, for the new spinoff show. Having to wait for Legends of Tomorrow to be officially picked up would explain why the Arrow finale wasn't extended until now. However, this is only speculation.

In the Arrow Season 2 finale, "My Name is Oliver Queen," everyone's lives are in danger as Ra's al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable) puts forth his final plan. Oliver/Al Sah-him (Stephen Amell) must decide if he's strong enough to take on this new role and what it will mean for everyone on Team Arrow, and his soul.

Arrow, "My Name is Oliver Queen," airs Wednesday, May 13 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
