Arrow/The Flash Crossover Episodes To Feature Nine Superheroes

11/15/2015 06:04 pm EST

The number of superheroes on The CW has been growing pretty steadily since Season Two of Arrow, but with DC's Legends of Tomorrow on the horizon, fans will see more of them in one place than ever before, according to Arrow star Stephen Amell.

During a recent visit to the set of Arrow, ComicBook.com was at a roundtable where series star Stephen Amell revealed that there will be nine costumed heroes appearing in one scene during one of the crossovers.

"We shot a scene that had, like, nine superheroes in it," Amell said. "Nine people with either powers or super-suits. It was an amazing thing to look out over the scene and see the world that has been built over the course of three-plus years."

The image above features seven -- Black Canary, Green Arrow, Speedy, The Flash, The Hawks and Diggle. The odds are pretty good that the other two will be The Atom and White Canary, since the two of them are set to be featured in DC's Legends of Tomorrow and, unlike Firestorm, they haven't yet "left town."

You can check out the synopses for both episodes of the crossover event below.
