Avengers: Scarlett Johansson & Mark Ruffalo Trade Gender-Specific Questions
04/24/2015 12:36 pm EDT
Following yesterday's controversy over Chris Evans' and Jeremy Renners' insensitive Black Widow jokes, today's bit of Avengers: Age of Ultron promotion should come as a welcome relief.
In a recent interview, Cosmopolitan turned the tables on Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo while also stirring some commentary on gender equality in press interviews. Instead of asking Johansson the type of questions she normally receives—like her diet routine or red carpet attire—Cosmo directed them at Ruffalo. Then, all of the questions that Ruffalo or his fellow male Avengers get—like stunt routines the character's actual development—were given to Johansson.
While the Q&A was light-hearted in nature, it certainly brought up some important points regarding gender equality in major press interviews. You can check out the full discussion below.
Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1.
