Barnes & Noble Announces Batman Day Celebration

Barnes & Noble will be part of the Batman Day celebration on Saturday, Sept. 26. The book and media retailer will offer customers 20 percent off popular Batman graphic novels and DVDs, including graphic novels Batman: The Killing Joke, Batgirl Vol. 1: The Batgirl of Burnside, and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and DVDs of The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Batman Begins, Batman Returns, and others.

Barnes & Noble stores will also distribute free copies of the Batman Endgame Special Edition #1 comic book with a Barnes & Noble exclusive variant cover, while supplies last. The issue will also be available on NOOK. Customers can enter for a chance to win up to three exclusive Batman Day prints by Sean Murphy that will be given away in stores nationwide.

Customers can also enter to win a diamond-edition DC Collectibles Batman action figure from Jim Lee, with a hand-numbered unique sketch and signature, worth $1,500. Customers can enter to win on September 26.

There will also be activities throughout the day, including cosplay and trivia contests, Storytimes, drawing demonstrations, a creating "Bat-Staches" activity, and more. Select Barnes & Noble locations will host special guests, including Sean Murphy at the Park Slope, NY store, Jim Lee at the Grove in Los Angeles and Tim Seeley at the Old Orchard location in Chicago.
