Ben Affleck Predicts Batman V. Superman Will Launch WB Turnaround, DC Comics World To Be Massive

Some would say that Warner Bros. has been taking it on the chin this year. Without the help of The Hobbit or Harry Potter films, even the success of Mad Max: Fury Road can't buoy their box office profits against the disappointing returns of Jupiter Ascending or The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Meanwhile, Disney continues to reap the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while WB's own DC Extended Universe has been pushed into 2016.

But 2016 will be the year it all turns around, with the release of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. At least that's what the film's star, Ben Affleck, believes.

"You'll see next year they are going to have a great year," Affleck told Variety. "They are now developing … probably the single greatest under-exploited IP asset in the entertainment business, the DC comic world. And now they have started to exploit that and you are going to see that blossom. And, when it does, it's going to be massive."

We'll see if WB can follow through on that hype when Batman v. Superman hits theaters.

Check out when Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and other movies are coming out in ComicBook.com's Movie Release Schedule.
