Co-op Survival Game The Wild Eight Looks To Kickstarter

The survival genre has seen an uptick recently, and developer Eight Points has launched a new contender for the genre via Kickstarter.
The Wild Eight features 8 protagonists, all involved in a plane crash that leaves them stranded somewhere in the forests of Alaska. It's up the survivors to utilize their individual abilities and figure out a way back to civilization, which is pretty par for the course for these type of games. The most interesting thing that sets the game apart from others is that Wild Eight is narrative focused in addition to it's "salvage everything you can and make it through the night" gameplay.
The story will play out in three different areas, all procedurally generated related to a randomly picked core location. All of the sidequests are generated in related areas to the core location, and while they aren't necessary to finish the game, they will be needed to get a better ending.
The game also packs in co-op play, allowing you to share resources and back each other up. The game has a unique look, with a low polygon count contrasting with a serene art style. The Wild Eight is on Kickstarter now, and it still has a way to go to fulfill its $50,000 goal. You can see some additional screens of the game in the gallery.
