DC Collectibles Announces $5,000 Batman Brass Statue

DC Collectibles has announced a new Batman statue...but unlike the dozens of others available at your local comics retailer or online sellers, this one is heavy enough to kill somebody with, and costs enough for a downpayment on a new car.

Only one hundred copies of a brass Batman statue set for a June release will be made -- and they'll cost $5,000.

No specific details on the size of the statue are being reported, but commenters on the Facebook page where it was announced believe it to be a 1/6th scale.

Statues seem to be a recurring Batman thing: collector's editions of both the Dark Knight Trilogy and the recent Batman: Arkham Knight game have come packaged with small-scale replicas of Batman memorial statues used in those works.
