Gorgeous Pixel Hearts Pay Tribute To Video Game Classics

Over at Gallery 1988, you can find a custom art collection called Pixel Hearts. Each these consists of an original digital print that has been played over a 12' x 12' x .75 inch wooden pixel heart, and the theme at the center is video games.

Each one is completely unique, and done by a variety of artists. Gallery 1988 had each artist use the same size canvas, and let them do whatever they wanted, as long as it was inspired by video games. The results give us everything from stylistic takes on Mario Kart, Sonic, Skyrim, and Zelda, to a Metroid inspired rendition of David Bowie.

Since each one is a completely original piece, they are going to cost more than your average print. They tend to be in the $200 range, and can be higher, but to have something this unique from your favorite artist might well be worth it. You can head to their site to see all the available pieces.
