Grimm Is Getting A Shorter Season 6 Initial Order

Earlier this month, Grimmsters were relieved when NBC announced that it had renewed Grimm for a sixth season, but they may not be pleased to learn it might be a shortened season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC's initial Season 6 order is for only 13 episodes. That's a huge drop-off from the 22 episodes the supernatural crime drama customarily puts out each season.
However, there is still hope for more episodes. "That is not a fixed number," THR adds, "as I hear the pickup is for a minimum of 13 episodes, with a likelihood for more."
This season, Grimm is averaging 1.7 million during original broadcasts and 6.4 million in live plus seven day ratings. That's a bit off from last season's averages (2.0, 7.1). While those numbers don't appear impressive on the surface, "Grimm still ranks as one of the highest rated scripted series on Friday."
Grimm wraps up Season 5 on May 20.
