Jake Gyllenhaal Turns Down Role In Suicide Squad

Last week, when Tom Hardy ("The Dark Knight Rises") unexpectedly walked away from David Ayer's Suicide Squad movie there was one bit of good news, Warner Bros. was already eyeing a solid replacement in Jake Gyllenhaal ("Nightcrawler").
Today, Justin Kroll reports: "sources now tell Variety that Jake Gyllenhaal has passed on an offer to play the leader of the superhero team."
Director David Ayer doesn't start shooting the film until April, so they have plenty of time to find a replacement, but it doesn't bode well for the role of Rick Flag that two actors have already passed up on the opportunity. Rumor has it that Hardy passed because the role was marginalized in the most latest draft. He didn't like playing second fiddle to The Joker (Jared Leto) and Deadshot (Will Smith), whose roles had become more prominent.
Which actor would you like to see get the part?
