Joss Whedon Announces New Dark Horse Comic "Twist"
07/11/2015 08:18 pm EDT
On Saturday, Joss Whedon hosted his own panel in San Diego Comic Con's Hall H on behalf of Dark Horse comics, and ComicBook.com was in the San Diego Convention Center's largest room to hear his big announcement.
To start the panel, he opened up about how privileged he feels to have been able to make a blockbuster such as The Avengers and do the work he has, but wants to explore new opportunities, and "new formats." This led to Whedon announcing he is teaming with Dark Horse to write a six issue arc titled, "Twist."
Whedon was scarce on the details, but he summed up the book by saying, "It addresses the most important Victorian question facing us: why isn't there a female Batman?"
Without giving an exact release date, Whedon said the book will arrive next year.
