Mark Millar & Stuart Immonen Reveal Empress Variant Covers

Mark Millar and Stuart Immonen's new project, Empress, is almost here, but take a gander at the four variant covers that will accompany the inagural issue (via THR). The four variant covers feature fan favorites Immonen, Skottie Young, Sean Murphy, and Steve McNiven. The book is set to debut on April 6th, and is pure science fiction goodness from its premise.

The book stars the Empress, who is the wife of King Morax, a tyrant who runs his part of the galaxy with an iron fist. He's the guy who slams the puzzle pieces into place when it just clear as day doesn't go there. The empress takes it upon herself to leave him, and takes their three children with her. Along for the ride is her bodyguard, and the three kids, Aine, Adam, and Puck.

The book has loads of potential, especially since one of the children, Aine, the 15 year old daughter, just wants to go to her (admittedly evil) father. Ahh, dysfunctional family dynamics in space, gotta love it.
