Marvel Releases Contest Of Champions #1 First Look

Secret Wars may end, but the battle will continue in Contest of Champions #1, from writer Al Ewing and artist Paco Medina.

The new in-continuity ongoing series, inspired by the Kabam's Contest of Champions mobile game, takes place in the Battlerealm, a broken section of space-time where cosmic beings gamble for the ultimate power. Unwilling participants from all corners of the Marvel Universe are forced to fighter for their lives against friends and foes alike. Even the dead are resurrected to fight in the arena.

Marvel Comics has released a new preview of the issue, which can be seen in the gallery below. Contest of Champions #1 goes on sale in October.
