New Batman V. Superman Promo Art Inspired By Hush & The Dark Knight Returns
05/18/2015 07:11 pm EDT
El Mayimbe of Heroic Hollywood has been posting what appears to be official Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice promotional artwork. And today, he has posted two more!
Let's talk about the first image, which is a nod to both Batman #612 and Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. The poses are taken from the cover of Batman #612 ("Hush (Part V of XII) - The Battle"), which was created by artists: Jim Lee, Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair. The nod to Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns comes from Batman's suit of armor, which he uses to take on Superman. It's also nice to see Henry Cavill's likeness used as well.
Batman Dark Knight - issue 5 double pager 2. That artwork was created by David Finch (pencils), Richard Friend (ink) and Marc Bourbier (color). Once again, with additional elements from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns and Henry Cavill's likeness.
Check them out below.
Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters March 25, 2016.
