05/16/2016 09:46 am EDT
FOX will premiere the "event series" of Prison Break in the mid-season, starting early 2017. The show will air on Thursdays at 9pm, following returning procedural Rosewood. FOX announced their full Fall and Spring schedules ahead of their upfront presentation Monday.
The series sees the original cast return, including stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, who have continued working side-by-side first on The Flash then on Legends of Tomorrow. In the show, Lincoln (Purcell) and Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies, The Walking Dead) reunite to try to find and retrieve Michael Scofield (Miller), recently revealed to be alive afterall.
Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar, and Paul Adelstein also return for the series.
Prison Break is the latest returnee at FOX, after bringing X-Files back for a mini-series in 2016. 24 will also return to the network Spring 2017.
