The Muppets To Reboot As Showrunner Exits

The Muppets is getting a reboot, as executive producer and showrunner Bob Kushell exits the series. Kristin Newman is in negotiations to take over the job, according to Deadline.
The series is expected to go on break after its 10th episode, and return in rebooted fashion for the remaining six Season 1 episodes.
The report suggests that tension was built up around the series due to it being rushed to air in a matter of weeks, before the finer details could be ironed out. The show also has a tight shooting schedule, due to the mix of real actors and puppets.
The Muppets airs Tuesdays on ABC.
