Vudu, iTunes and Amazon are among sites offering fans a chance to see (and own) the Supergirl pilot for free.

Of course, this won't be the first time many fans have downloaded the pilot, which leaked on YouTube over the summer, but now it's legal.

Supergirl debuted with huge numbers, having been seen by more than 16 million viewers in Live+3 ratings. Gotham, which similarly provided fans with an opportunity to download the pilot for free, managed to turn their 8.5 million or so viewers into an impressive 22 million on DVR and digital services in the first thirty days after it aired.

After the free pilot, fans will have to pay $1.99 per episode in standard definition or $2.99 for HD if they want to continue to buy the series. You can buy a Season Pass for $29.99, which comes with different extra features on different platforms (including the Comic Con 2015 panel on Vudu).

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
