The X-Men's Jean Grey Featured On Marvel's Latest Civil War II Teaser

Jean Grey, one of the five time displaced original X-Men and a member of Storm's Extraordinary X-Men team, must choose a side for Marvel's Civil War II.

Marvel has released a new teaser featuring young Jean and the increasingly familiar tagline for the event, "Protect the future. Change the future." The teaser follows previous teasers featuring Thor and Black Panther.

Is the fiery background teasing a new Phoenix manifestation? Will Jean and the X-Men back Iron Man or Captain Marvel? Previously released preview art certainly makes it seem like the X-Men are part of Team Captain Marvel.

Civil War II will be written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by David Marquez. Civil War II #1 releases in June, but the earliest shots will be fired in FCBD Civil War II #1 by Bendis and artists Olivier Coipel. That issue releases on Free Comic Book Day, May 7.
