After last season's Terrigenesis event, this year's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. midseason finale has a reputation to live up to, and it does not disappoint.

"Maveth" features a head-on collision between S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra forces, and not everyone is making it home.

This casualty is a direct result of unexpected decision by another character, and the fallout of these actions seem to set the stage for the remainder of the season.
