Yes, There Are Master Balls in Pokemon Go

By the time you reach Level 20 in Pokemon Go, you should have access to Poke Balls, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls to capture Pokemon. However, one classic Poke Ball missing from the game so far is the Master Ball, the only Poke Ball that 100% guarantees a capture. But fret not, Pokemon fans! A recent data mine of Pokemon Go's coding revealed a ton of data, including a picture of the Master Ball.

There's still a lot of questions surrounding the Master Ball, even though it will eventually appear in the game. Can you misthrow a Master Ball via an errant curveball throw or by an underthrow? How do you obtain a Master Ball? Can you only get one or is there a potential fo more? Perhaps it's a reward for reaching Level 40, the highest level a player can currently get in Pokemon Go.

Personally, we're hoping that some more information on the Master Ball (and Legendary Pokemon) will be revealed later this week as Pokemon Go has a presentation in Hall H at SDCC on Sunday night. Until then, we'll just have to wait and see how the game unfolds as players finish up the first stage of the game.
