Attack On Titan Episode 29 Preview Sets Up A Gory Battle

04/17/2017 06:38 pm EDT

The second season of Attack on Titan is only a few episodes in, but the thrilling series has already taken steps to up its gore game. The season's premiere episode ended with one particularly gruesome death, and the Titans have only continued to quench their mindless blood-thirst since. Next week, fans will see the beginnings of a brand-new Titan war as the Survey Corps gets cornered by strange creatures at Utgard Castle. And, during the battle, Reiner will find himself put at risk when his past comes back to haunt him.

You can read the synopsis for "Soldier" below:

"While searching for the Titans' breach in the wall, the Scouts arrive at Utgard Castle. Their rest is cut short by Titans who move even under the darkness of night. The Scouts fight back gallantly. As the Titans' invasion presses within the castle, Reiner recollects a scene of his past."

In the preview above, fans can watch as the Scouts take on Titan after Titan, but the monsters don't stop coming. None of the soldiers can figure out how the creatures are getting into Wall Rose, but it falls to the Scouts to protect the land regardless. When the battle pushes closer to Utgard Castle, Reiner will see himself challenged by a Titan after the soldier suddenly flashes back to a childhood trauma. And, if the character isn't on top of his game, then the stocky soldier might become Titan chow before Utgard Castle can be reclaimed.

The synopsis for Attack on Titan's new season can be read below:
