If you are a fan of Attack on Titan, then you will want to take a seat. Something big is coming, and it might just make the Colossal Titan pale in comparison. Thanks to Funimation, fans of the ultra-violent shonen anime will get to watch its upcoming comeback sooner than they thought. In a newly uploaded Youtube video, Funimation confirmed Attack on Titan would be joining its line-up of Spring 2017 simulcasts with English dubbing.

That's right! Rather than waiting for fan-subs or delayed premieres, Attack on Titan will come to fans in real time. Here's what Funimation had to say about the video confirmation: "Extraordinary heroes are back with new season launches for Dragon Ball Super, Attack on Titan, and My Hero Academia, starting April 1st."

If you want to watch the simulcast, then fans will need to do so via Funimation. There is no word on whether Attack on Titan will also be housed on Crunchyroll concurrently at this time. For those of you who want to watch the stream without advertisements, then you will have to fork over some cash. Ad-free plans for Funimation streaming start at $6 per month.

The synopsis for Attack on Titan's new season can be read below:

"Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every last Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity's freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest—a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues!"

If you are not familiar with Attack on Titan, then you should know the popular anime is renowned for its intense action and gritty storylines. The anime follows a boy named Eren Yeager in an alternate world overrun by massive creatures known as Titans. These mindless beasts have all but wiped out humanity, and mankind is left to cower in fear behind massive walls. When their sanctum is infiltrated by a slew of Titans, Eren and his friends Armin and Mikasa join the military to help eradicate the blood-thirty monsters. But, as they grow older, they learn that the beasts are not what they appear as long-held government conspiracies make themselves known.
