In a handful of weeks, the unthinkable will finally come to fruition for Attack on Titan fans. After years of waiting, fans will finally see the thrilling series return to television as Wit Studio premieres its second season in April. The long-awaited comeback is a hotly anticipated one by millions of fans, and few people are as excited for the return then its patient voice actors. The stars of Attack on Titan were eager to reprise their roles in the drama, and the cast is gearing up for the anime's imminent return over in Japan.

Recently, Yuki Kaji had a moment to sit down and talk about his lead role in the anime. The voice actors plays none other than Eren Jaeger, the male protagonist of the anime. Thanks to AniPlus, the actor's cast interview about Attack on Titan's second season has just dropped online, and fans can watch as the star teases plenty of juicy story details.

When asked how he felt about Attack on Titan's return, Kaji admitted he and his co-stars were grateful for the comeback. So far, the second season has recorded only a few episodes with the whole cast. But, if you are expecting Eren to rise up in those episodes, then you will be sorely upset.

According to Kuji, Jaeger's star status is tapered somewhat at the start of Attack on Titan.

"The recordings have only been completed for a few episodes, but Eren still hasn't played a huge role in the drama," Kuji said. "And watching the others perform gave me joy as a fan that scenes from the manga were finally going to be adapted. Still, as an actor, it made me want to hurry up and talk more, act more, and scream more as Eren."

Continuing, Kuji also briefly touched on the different tone of Attack on Titan's new season.

"Season 1 had Eren becoming a Titan and intense action scenes where that Titan goes wild and stuff like that. It felt like a raging crimson fire. Season 2 also has a ton of scenes like that, but apart from that, it has scheming a plotting," Kuji stressed.

"And while Eren is still the protagonist, of course, other characters get the spotlight, and their drama forms the backbone here…It's heated in a way that affects the brain and not the heart."

The synopsis for Attack on Titan's new season can be read below:

"Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every last Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity's freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest—a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues!"
