Dragon Ball Super Just Featured The Weirdest Birth Ever

If you have kept up with Dragon Ball over the years, then you know the series has seen its fair share of births. From Goten to Pan, a slew of characters have been born into the franchise - but none can compare to Bra's birth in Dragon Ball Super. In the anime's most recent episode, fans watched as Bulma prepared to have her second child whilst Vegeta paced nervously off to the side. But, in true anime fashion, things went south when one all-powerful angel decided to interfere with the birth.

In the episode, Beerus and Whis teamed up with Goku to recruit Vegeta to enter the Tournament of Power. The martial arts event is coming in hot, and the fate of Universe 7 depends on the team winning the event. Naturally, Vegeta is one of the top fighters wanted for the crew due to his overwhelming power, but the Saiyan won't do anything until Bulma gives birth. Vegeta is obviously nervous about his daughter's birth, and he even disobeys a direct order from Beerus to join up because of the ordeal.

So, what does Whis do? Well, fans aren't really sure what the attendant did, but it certainly worked. Audiences watched as the quippy angel used his staff and a bit of magic to force Bulma into labor and pop! The couple's baby magically appears swaddled up in a green blanket.

Of course, the cast of Dragon Ball Super had little reaction to the stunning twist. In fact, Bulma was more than happy with the change since she didn't have to go through labor pains. She even told Whis she might ask him to do that again if she has another child. Everyone from Chichi to Vegeta thinks the action is totally normally. But, for fans, they were staring at their screens scratching their heads.

In a world where Dragon Balls can revive the dead and pink aliens can destroy entire worlds, having an angel force someone into labor isn't all that weird.

Dragon Ball Super recently kicked off the 'Universal Survival' saga. You can check out the brief synopsis for it below:

"At Goku's request, the Omni-Kings' "Tournament of Power" martial arts tournament between universes now begins! …But this also proves to be the beginning of universal destruction. What awaits the victors of this tournament, and the vanquished…?! How will these intense team battles between the elites of each universe turn out…?!"

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami will begin airing the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
