Goku first powered up into a Super Saiyan years ago in Dragon Ball Z, and the fighter has since discovered other variations on the form. However, it looks like Dragon Ball Super will bring back one persistently MIA form very soon.

Warning! Spoilers for Dragon Ball Super's 104th episode lie below!

Over on Twitter, one of the voice actors for Dragon Ball Super told fans Super Saiyan God would make a comeback. After being asked about a recent synopsis debate, Yoshita Toshio revealed the write-up was "not an error."

"SSG [Super Saiyan God] will appear!" the Yamcha actor wrote.

Earlier this week, fans began to wonder if the colorful power-up would be making a comeback. New synopses for Dragon Ball Super went live, and translators like Todd Blankenship quickly learned the tag for one episode mentioned Super Saiyan God. You can read that synopsis below:

Universe 11's Dyspo battles Universe 6's Hit. Dyspo blocks Hit's movements with bullets of light, and one-sidedly pummels him. Seeing this, Goku becomes Super Saiyan God and stands before Dyspo, saying his body is throbbing.

If you are not familiar with Super Saiyan God, then you have a bit to catch up on. The transformation is a new one introduced in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. The form is more powerful than Super Saiyan 3 and is the stuff of legend. Goku was able to obtain the power after going through a ritual involving six righteous Saiyans. After going Super Saiyan God, Goku is able to go head-to-head with the God of Destruction Beerus, but the hero's interest in the form did not last long.

Goku then discovered that there is a form even more powerful than Super Saiyan God. The hero learned he could go Super Saiyan whilst in his Super Saiyan God form, and the discovery led him to the Super Saiyan Blue transformation.
