This weekend, Dragon Ball Super reminded fans of the good-ole' days when Gohan and Piccolo had an intense training day with each other. The pair hashed out tension which desperately needed resolution, and fans were eager to see Piccolo be their mouthpiece by the episode's end. Next week, the nostalgia will continue when Goku meets up with Master Roshi and Tien to ask the pair to join the Tournament of Power. But, before the Saiyan can get anywhere, he will have to fight a berserk Roshi after the older man gets cursed.

In the preview for Dragon Ball Super's next episode, Goku can be seen looking for Tien in the fighter's dojo. The Saiyan is determined to recruit the two men, but even the hero notes that things are looking "pretty bad" when Roshi is placed under a curse. The mentor is shown with a talisman pinned to his head, and it seems likely the item was placed there by a strange girl who's shown speaking with Tien.

You can read up on the synopsis for Dragon Ball Super's 89th episode below:

"Gokuu goes to scout Turtle Hermit, and asks Tenshinhan since he's there as well. However, there's some sort of trouble going on at the dojo Tenshinhan is running?!"

As for the trouble Goku will face, it seems that a girl will be behind the ordeal. A previous synopsis for episode 89 wrote that Goku goes to Tien's dojo to meet Roshi, but he is met by a beautiful young lady named Yurin. Now, as fans can see with the episode's new preview, it seems like the girl is behind the zombified state which Roshi and Tien's students find themselves placed in.

Dragon Ball Super recently kicked off the 'Universal Survival' saga. You can check out the brief synopsis for it below:

"At Goku's request, the Omni-Kings' "Tournament of Power" martial arts tournament between universes now begins! …But this also proves to be the beginning of universal destruction. What awaits the victors of this tournament, and the vanquished…?! How will these intense team battles between the elites of each universe turn out…?!"

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami will begin airing the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
