If you're an anime otaku, then you have surely heard about Inuyasha. The franchised debuted in 1996 under Rumiko Takahashi's gifted hands and eventually transformed into an immensely popular series. Inuyasha was only made bigger after an anime adaptation of the manga aired in 2000, and many fans still revisit the show after all these years.

And, now, those fans who are of-age can return to the Sengoku period with some seriously classy sake.

Fujinoi Sake Brewery has confirmed they are teaming up with Takahashi to release a special sake in Inuyasha's honor. The limited-edition drink will come in a special bottle that has Inuyasha printed on its label. The sake itself is also said to be a high quality; The brewery will use Junmai Ginjo, a pure rice wine where each grain of rice used to distill the drink had 40% of its outer layer milled down.

Along with the drink, the brewery plans to sell commemorative sake cups inspired by Inuyasha. The first trio of cups feature colored outlines of characters like Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippo. The second feature the series' logos. And, to clean up any wayward sake, the brewery will also sell a wrapping cloth that has Inuyasha and Kagome printed on it.

If you are not familiar with Inuyasha, then you can always elect to binge the beloved series. The show follows half-human, half-demon boy named Inuyasha and a teenager from Tokyo called Kagome. The latter is transported from modern-day Tokyo to the past after falling into her family's shrine, and she is bombarded by demons. It turns out the girl carries a magical item known as the Shikon Jewel in her body since she is the reincarnation of a powerful priest. The demons want its power, but Inuyasha manages to stop the hoard from killing Kagome, but the feat managed to shattered the Shikon Jewel.

Inuyasha then follows the mismatched couple as they go head-to-head and work together to find all the missing jewel shards. While the anime has aged over the years, the series still ranks as one of the highest-rated amongst Japanese and American fans.
