Exclusive Archie Comics Preview: The Black Hood Volume 1

Archie Comics has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive preview of The Black Hood Volume 1: The Bullet's Kiss, due in stores and available digitally tomorrow.

The graphic novel collects the first six issues of Duane Swierczynski and Michael Gaydos' gritty re-imagining of the classic Dark Circle Comics hero -- a name which may be familiar to fans of Riverdale as "The Black Hood" may be the name of the gunman responsible for season 1's cliffhanger-inducing shooting.

In the comics, though, he's a lot less...evil.

The Red Hood Volume 1 follows police officer Gregory Hettinger as his life spirals out of control after a deadly encounter with a vigilante - and we get to see just how far he'll go to protect the city of Philadelphia.
