In a recent interview with Good Morning America, Wilson talked briefly to the hosts about his recent casting as Orm in Aquaman. The character, who is better known as the Ocean Master, acts as one of Aquaman's nemeses. Naturally, the actor was asked whether he was a fan of Aquaman growing up, and the actor admitted he was not.

"Ah, no," he said. "It wasn't that I didn't like Aquaman, but there weren't any movies about it. Any movies of real significance. We finally reached a point where we can match the technology with the artistic desire."

However, it looks like Wilson is definitely doing catch-up on the franchise. Later in the show, the actor was gifted an action figure of Ocean Master and one of his comics, and Wilson showed off a bit of his comic book knowledge.

"This is the New 52," Wilson said after being handed the comic. "This is when they redid it."

Right now, it looks like Wilson is doing more than just research for his Aquaman outing. Not long ago, the actor took to Twitter to share a photo of him training for the action-packed role.

"Orm has to prepare for a battle or two," he tweeted, sharing a photo of himself at the gym.
