Arrow Season 6 Premiere Will Reveal Who Lives Or Dies, Will Show Mourning

Arrow knew what it was doing when they let season 5 end with a giant cliffhanger, but fans don't have to worry about any prolonged teases in the premiere.
Executive producer Wendy Mericle stopped to talk to ComicBook.com's Russ Burlingame at San Diego Comic-Con, where she was asked if fans will get to see who dies in the premiere or at least Oliver's reaction to that loss.
"I think you're gonna see both," said Mericle. "We will get answers. You'll know by the end of the premiere who made it and who didn't, and you'll see Oliver mourning. You'll definitely see him going through a grieving process"
Oliver, unfortunately, won't have much time to come to terms with his loss, as Richard Dragon is stepping into the spotlight for season 6. Mericle compares his style to that of Prometheus, a style that focuses on making things personal and hitting hard.
"I think the thing we get out of Richard Dragon is a different way of approaching what worked last season. We liked that we went back to this gritty crime drama for the show, and Richard Dragon gives us an opportunity to do that. He's from the streets, he's a fighter. He's more from the glade side of town, he's a gang leader, and we're going to use that to our advantage and also explore new territory. We've seen Oliver go up against a lot of people, but nobody quite like him."

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey),computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).
Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his "family".
Based on the characters from DC, ARROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti ("The Flash," "Supergirl"), Marc Guggenheim ("DC's Legends of Tomorrow," "Eli Stone"), Wendy Mericle ("Desperate Housewives," "Eli Stone"), Andrew Kreisberg ("The Flash," "Eli Stone," "Warehouse 13") and Sarah Schechter ("The Flash," "DC's Legends of Tomorrow").
Supergirl premieres on Monday, October 9th at 8 pm, while The Flash debuts on Tuesday, October 10 at 8 pm. Legends of Tomorrow moves to Tuesdays this Fall, airing right after The Flash on October 10. On Thursday, October 12 at 9 pm Arrow will premiere to round out the DC roster.
