Arrow's Emily Bett Rickards On Felicity Getting Smoak Technologies - And When It Could Happen

Arrow fans have long wanted two things for Felicity Smoak. The first of those is to get a full costume and superhero identity, but the second of those wishes seems a bit more attainable.

That second wish is for her to get her own company, something the Arrowverse teased in one particular episode of Legends of Tomorrow. When the crew ended up in the year 2026, fans were introduced to the idea of Smoak Technologies.

At Heroes and Villains Fan Fest (via The Mirror), actress Emily Bett Rickards said it might not be too far off now, teasing "We're working towards Smoak Technologies, I can't say when but I'd say that's going to happen." The odds of her getting a full costume are very small, but having her company should satisfy many fans.

Season 6 will be a much different animal than season 5 was, something executive producer Wendy Mericle recently referenced when talking to ComicBook.com.

"The mayor's office has gotten really good at covering up all that stuff, but it's a good question," Mericle said. "I think we'll be able to find story ways to skirt past that, but it highlights what's going to be a central question for season 6, which is, how can he do both? We've played with that in the past in different ways before, but I think that the success of what he's done in the mayor's office and his ability to have impact is going to raise those stakes to a different level and hopefully create some great stories."

The battle between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra) culminates in a final epic battle on Lian Yu. After recent events, Oliver decides to recruit a group of unlikely allies – Slade (guest star Manu Bennett), Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law), Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Digger Harkness (guest star Nick. E. Tarabay) – to defeat Chase. However, Chase has his own army – Black Siren (guest star Katie Cassidy), Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin) and Talia al Ghul (guest star Lexa Doig) – and the forces collide in an explosive season finale.
