Kevin Conroy Crowns Ben Affleck's Batman As The Best

The Caped Crusader has gone through a myriad of evolutions since his first appearance. Nevertheless, every fan seems to have their own portrayal of Batman that rises far above the rest.

For many, that portrayal is Kevin Conroy's, who voiced the Dark Knight in Batman: The Animated Series and countless other DC animated properties. And Conroy just provided a ringing endorsement of the current live-action Batman - Ben Affleck.

At a roundtable interview during San Diego Comic-Con 2017, to promote his newest Batman outing, Batman and Harley Quinn, Conroy discussed the various actors to play the character. Along the way, he offered some pretty kind words about Affleck, who will next reprise his role in Justice League.

"I love seeing all the different takes." Conroy revealed. "I think some of them get Bruce Wayne more than they get Batman, and some of them get Batman more than they get Bruce Wayne. I think Ben Affleck has probably gotten the best balance of the two. He's a really good Bruce Wayne and a really good Batman."

According to the actor, while Affleck finds the best balance with his portrayal, each person to inhabit the role of Batman has brought something wildly different and rewarding to the role.

"You know, I thought it was weird when Warner Bros. didn't give the franchise to one actor when the first started doing the films. You just assumed they were going to cast a Batman and he was going to carry the whole franchise. But then when I saw the different ones — Michael Keaton and Val Kilmer, [George Clooney], and Christian Bale — all the different takes. This was really smart, because each actor does it so differently."
