What movies will DC and Warner Bros. be sending to theaters in 2020? One new rumor strongly indicates Shazam! will be one of them.

Superhero movie maven el Mayimbe took to Twitter today to tell his followers that he had heard the film, which stars Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam, will begin production in February.

"I love the idea that is backstory is that he starts off as a slave," Johnson said of the film in a recent interview. "I feel like when somebody is oppressed that way but has a bigger ambition and a greater belief than the oppression that's holding him down - that's a powerful place to be. [His] family getting killed, coming back from that; There's a lot of elements about Black Adam that have attracted me for a very, very, very, very, very long time."

For now, there is no release date attached to Shazam, or for Johnson's Black Adam prequel movie, but fans are looking forward to more updates on the project. So far, there is no actor attached to the role of Shazam, but Johnson has previously thrown a name into the role's hate. The actor has said he would be interested in seeing Armie Hammer play the hero opposite him.

There's no official synopsis for Shazam or Black Adam, but here's what Johnson had to say about the latter project over on Instagram:

"One of the most powerful anti-heroes on the planet is coming. And he is coming in hot. Brace yourself for BLACK ADAM! It's a new dawn."

"Had a very cool and strategic meeting with the heads of DC about their entire universe. As a hard core DC fan, to get a real sense of the tonal shifts and developments coming in these future movies has me fired up. Something we, as DC fans have all been waiting for for a very long time. Hope, optimism & FUN. Even when talking about the the most ruthless villain/anti-hero of all time finally coming to life. Prepare yourselves DC Universe."
