DC Collectibles Spotlights Gotham Garage, Artist Alley, And More In 2018 Lineup

DC Collectibles brought an assortment of new and mesmerizing items to San Diego Comic-Con, and DC fans are going to want to make some space in their collections to accommodate the new selections.

From action figures and statues to replicas, there was a bit of everything on the show floor. One of the big surprises at the show was the announcement of two new entries in the Gotham Garage line, featuring none other than Batgirl and Supergirl. While Batgirl features her bike, Supergirl's is a little unique, as it features her lifting a motorcycle engine with ease.

"The idea behind Gotham City Garage is to explore the tough and gritty alter-egos of DC's most iconic characters such as Wonder Woman and Catwoman, and now Batgirl and Supergirl," said Jim Fletcher, executive creative director, DC Collectibles. "Just like with DC Bombshells, it's exciting to see these character designs strike a chord with fans and transcend from statues into comic books and beyond, and we're eager to find out just how far Gotham City Garage can ride."

As you can see in the gallery, both are stunning, but for fans of something a bit more classic, the DC Essentials line should scratch that itch. Featuring classic but modern takes on characters, new collectors will love this line.

"DC Essentials will be an evergreen action figure line and will feature classic representations of DC Universe characters including Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman, among others," said Fletcher. "These designs will embody the core of each character and will attract both our most dedicated fans and those just starting out with their collections. We're thrilled to deliver these figures at the larger 6.75'' scale and can't wait for fans to see the new moveability that allows for more intricate poses. We're excited to have Jason Fabok on board as the series' designer–his stunning art style is a perfect match for DC Essentials. "

DC will also continue its Artist Alley line, which gives fans iconic characters with an artist's distinct visual flavor. New for 2018 will be statues and vinyl inspired by Chris Uminga, HaiNaNu Nooligan Saulque, and Sho Murase. Also available will be Harley Quinn statues based on the art of Stanley Lau, Babs Tarr, and Jae Lee, while the Batman statue line will have Dark Knights based on artwork by Peter Kuper, Jonathan Matthews, and Becky Cloonan.

You can find all of the new 2018 additions in the gallery, and the entire list of releases has been included below. Head on over to Entertainment Earth to check out what's currently available to pre-order from the new lineup.
