DC has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive first look at the variant covers to Action Comics #958 and Detective Comics #935.

...Wow, it feels strange -- and good -- to type numbers that high again.

In Action Comics #958 from writer DanJurgens and artist Patrick Zircher, Luthor and Superman must put aside their differences and face the common threat of Doomsday, as Jimmy Olsen and the Planet staff try to uncover the truth: who is the man claiming to be Clark Kent? The variant cover depicted below is from Ryan Sook.

In Detective Comics #935 from writer James Tynion IV and the art team of Eddy Barrows and Eber Ferreira, Batman and his team find themselves in the crosshairs as the villain they've begun hunting turns the tables on them. Batman and Batwoman have the skills to survive, but do their young teammates? Is this where hero training ends in tragedy? The variant cover is from Raphael Albuquerque.

Both of the issues are part of DC's hugely-anticipated Rebirth initiative, which kicks off tomorrow with DC Universe: Rebirth #1. In the wake of Rebirth, both Action Comics and Detective Comics -- the longest continuously-published comics in the industry -- will resume their original numbering, eschewing the new numbering they've had since The New 52 launched in 2011 and renumbered all of DC's books.

Both Action Comics #958 and Detective Comics #935 are both due in stores on June 22. Make sure to check out Superman: Lois and Clark #8, Superman #52, and the DC Universe Rebirth special this week so you're up to date on what's going on in the post-Rebirth status quo.
