Reports of Gal Gadot's Super Low Wonder Woman Paycheck Get Debunked

There's somehow been a lot of controversy swirling around the milestone that is the Wonder Woman movie, be it the all-female screenings of the film, star Gal Gadot's Israeli heritage - or, more recently, the report that Gadot would only earn $300,000 for Wonder Woman, compared to her Batman v Superman co-star Henry Cavill's supposed $14 million for Man of Steel.

However, as is often the trend in Internet news, reports of the DC Extended Universe stars' paycheck amounts wasn't quite accurate. A new report from tries to straighten out what is really going on with the numbers.

In the report from Vanity Fair, it's stated that there are more details to the figures that were originally reported by Elle, and went viral in a wave of Internet outrage. Here's the new breakdown of the figures:

Since Gadot has not yet signed for Wonder Woman 2, she will definitely be in a much better bargaining position for a bigger payday, now that (almost) the entire world has embraced her as the Amazon superheroine.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and is written by Allan Heinberg, Geoff Johns, and Zack Snyder. The film stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis (Etta Candy), Danny Huston, Ewen Bremmer, Doutzen Kroes, Samantha Jo (Euboea), Florence Kasumba (Senator Acantha), Said Taghmaoui, Eleanor Matsuura (Epione), Emily Carey (Young Diana), and Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe).

Wonder Woman is in theaters now, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
