Is This The First True Look At Bane On Gotham?

The new Gotham trailer has just debuted, and it teases an action-packed Spring premiere ahead. Bruce is training with Ra's al Ghul, Jim is trying to control the city, and the Court Of Owls is up to no good.

The most exciting part of the trailer though, was seeing - what seems to be - the introduction of one of Batman's biggest foes.

It looks like Bane could finally be on his way to Gotham.

Many thought that Nathaniel Barnes would turn into Bane after a drop of Alice's blood fell into his eye. He displayed all of the signs of the villain - extreme strength, violent rage, bulging veins in his face - but he was dubbed The Executioner before being thrown in prison.

While it seemed that Barnes would become Bane, the name threw fans off. Executioner was a very small villain in the overall scheme of Batman lore, but he appeared in the comics nontheless. They wouldn't make one character into two villains, would they?

The new trailer makes it seem like they have, as Barnes is resembling Bane even more than before. When he's first shown, two wards are escorting him out of Arkham. The guy is wearing a mask across his mouth, chained to his back, and it's very reminiscent of the classic Bane look.

Later in the trailer, Barnes was seen busting out of his containment. This is another dead giveaway, as Bane is uses nothing but brute strength to force his way out of situations.

Is this the time? Is Bane finally set to reign terror down on Gotham? We'll find out when Gotham returns, April 24.
