Vimeo Giuls Sholfer has put together a mash-up of Gotham and Friends, with visuals from Gotham underpinning the theme song from Friends -- and it's kind of oddly perfect.

With a heavy emphasis on the kind of bizarre visuals that make the upbeat song feel oddly discordant, the video above focuses mostly on the show's dangerous villains, playing off the disconnect between the images and the tune. They still find a way to add in some sitcom-appropriate footage, though, and that's what loads up the back half of the video as the names of the actors come across the screen.

The Friends theme video meme has become a staple of internet humor -- although usually it's just absurd, and not so eerily perfect as it is here.

The regular cast features Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Morena Baccarin as Leslie Thompkins, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, Jessica Lucas as Tabitha Galavan, Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean, Maggie Geha as the future Poison Ivy, Michael Chiklis as Detective Nathaniel Barnes, Benedict Samuel as Mad Hatter
