Gotham: The True Killer Of Jim's Father Revealed

When Jim met up with his Uncle Frank on last week's episode of Gotham, he found out some disturbing truth regarding his father's death. Frank revealed that both he, and Jim's father, were a part of the Court of Owls, and that they had staged his death. This week, Jim uncovered who it was that actually ordered the hit on his dad.

In a shocking turn of events, it was revealed that Frank ordered the murder of his own brother.

Jim was in the car when the drunk driver hit his father. He couldn't believe that someone else would have ordered a hit, because he was there. However, he investigated the claims throughout this episode.

First he confronted Falcone, and he admitted that his father was, indeed, the victim of a murder. The crime boss also told Jim that it was his Uncle Frank who put out the hit.

When talking with Frank, Jim tried to understand why he would take his own brother's life. Frank told him that the Court had already made their decision, and there was no way of stopping it. He had to call for his brother's death if he wanted any chance of stopping the future crime that the Court would bring to Gotham.

In order to save Jim's life, Frank killed himself at the end of the episode. However, his death means that Jim can now focus all of his energy on taking out the Court of Owls.

Inspired by Bruce's traumatized desire for justice, Gordon vows to find it amid Gotham's corruption. Thus begins Gordon's lonely quest that would set him against his own comrades and the underworld with their own deadly rivalries and mysteries. In the coming wars, innocence will be lost and compromises will be made as some criminals will fall as casualties while others will rise as supervillains. All the while, young Bruce observes this war with a growing obsession that would one day drive him to seek his own revenge as The Batman.
