Jimmy Fallon Takes A Shot At Batman v Superman In His Golden Globes Opening

The Golden Globes are here, and it doesn't look like Jimmy Fallon is holding back when it comes to taking shots at Hollywood's elite. The late-night host was tapped to helm the prestigious award's ceremony, and Fallon was quick to make a few jokes about the past year and its film slate. And, of course, the comedian could not help himself when it came to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Just ask Matt Damon about it.

During Fallon's opening, the host pointed out Matt Damon who was in the crowd. It was then that Fallon took a shot at the DC Film and Ben Affleck's work on it.

"We all know Matt Damon from his greatest acting role telling Ben Affleck that he liked Batman v Superman," Fallon joked.

Of course, fans will know that Damon and Affleck have a long history together. The leading men are part of Hollywood's A-list, and they are also childhood friends. Last year, Damon even made a jab at the mixed reviews of Batman v Superman when he starred in a charity video alongside Affleck and footballer Tom Brady.

"If your chin was anything like Tom's, that Batman movie of yours would have made about four billion dollars," Damon said, referring to Brady's chiseled features. "'Cause that's the only part recognizable of you, is that big, ugly chin. Tom is a superhero."

Of course, it seems like Fallon's joke was all in good fun. The comedian stressed he was actually a fan of the thrilling blockbuster, but still. The comedian may want to avoid his Twitter tag as DC fans are already lighting the host up for his sharp joke.

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.
