Here's What Josh Gad Could Look Like As The Penguin

05/04/2017 08:46 am EDT

Earlier this week, actor Josh Gad (Beauty & The Beast, Frozen) had DC fans in somewhat of a frenzy. With no context or caption, Gad tweeted out a picture of one of Batman's greatest foes, The Penguin.

This image, combined with the absurd amount of DC Entertainment folks who have recently followed Gad, has lead people to believe that the actor has possibly landed the role of The Penguin in the DCEU.

Right now, this idea is nothing more than a rumor, but it doesn't stop artists from having a little fun with it. As always, graphic artist BossLogic has separated himself from the pack, and given fans a great idea of what Gad could actually look like as Oswald Cobblepot.

The take on Penguin captures the essence of his classic style in the best way possible. The top hat is spot-on, the monocle looks just right, and the nose is crafted perfectly. There's even a real penguin - with a top hat - following behind.

For those who thought this would be a terrible casting, maybe it's time to think again. If the design for his character was anything like BossLogic's concept, we could be in for a real treat.

Whether Penguin is played by Josh Gad, or someone else, it's difficult to say when he would appear in the DCEU. It won't be in Wonder Woman, Justice League, or Aquaman, that's for sure. However, there are a number of Gotham-centric films on DC's slate that could be a good fit for the villain. Nightwing, Batgirl, Gotham City Sirens, and The Batman are all on the way.
