'Justice League' Gets Incredibly Detailed Pumpkin From The Pumpkin Geek

Halloween and the release of DC Films' blockbuster superhero epic Justice League are just ahead, and award-winning artist Alex Wer has combined the two in a carved pumpkin that's in a league of its own.

Hand carved on a durable craft pumpkin, the justice-o'-lantern depicts the superhero team as seen in the DC cinematic universe: Batman (Ben Affleck), Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Superman (Henry Cavill), with Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) as the focal point.

Wer has submitted the pumpkin as part of the official Justice League Fan Art Contest hosted by Warner Bros., awarding the winning artist with a trip to New York or Los Angeles to attend the Justice League premiere screening. If he wins, Wer hopes to get the pumpkin signed by the cast to auction off for charity. The contest, launched on July 26, accepts submissions until October 5. Fans are encouraged to send in a "drawing, painting, photograph, design, or other artistic image" inspired by the movie.

Wer previously showed off pumpkins featuring Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and other DC-inspired pumpkins, including the titular heroine of Supergirl, The Dark Knight's Joker and the CW's Flash and Arrow.

Branding himself as "the Pumpkin Geek," Wer custom carves one-of-a-kind faux pumpkins depicting pop culture icons, including Star Wars, The Avengers, Star Trek, celebrities, movie heroes and villains, sports legends and more. Check out his impressive carvings at his official website.
