New Justice League Reshoot Set Photos Show More Of Gotham City

In just a few months, DC Entertainment will see its next film hit theaters thanks to Justice League. The ensemble flick will find Batman teaming up with the likes of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and more as the world finds itself threatened by Steppenwolf. Currently, the project is undergoing reshoots in the UK under Joss Whedon following the leave of director Zack Snyder. Now, it looks like new set photos from the reshoots have appeared, and they give clear nods to Gotham City.

Over on Batman Notes (via Batman News), a couple photos from the Justice League set have appeared online. The close-up images allude to Gotham City as the pictures feature a gothic-style memoriam and a taxi. The pictures, which can be found here, give a look at some Gotham locales which may be featured in Justice League.

The first photo shows a carefully crafted skeleton statue cloaked in a heavy robe. Carved from stone, the morbid statue is seen holding a plaque with a police crest on it. The words "Protect and Serve" are seen carved into the tablet.

As for the second image, the picture shows a close-up of a black taxi. The car bears the lettering "Gotham LIC. Taxi" on the side of its cab.

These are not the first images to be shared from the set of Justice League. Earlier this week, Batman Notes shared faraway photos from the set. While the update did accidentally include some prop vehicles from the set of Dumbo, one building from the Justice League reshoots did grab attention. A hangar-like building was captured on film which bore the symbol of the Knights Templar. The cross-shape logo has deep historical ties, but fans noted it was used often by the German military during the early 1900s. Such a locale and timeframe hints the reshoots may have to do with Wonder Woman's history, so fans may get to see flashbacks into each of the Justice League members' pasts.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, based on a story by Snyder and Terrio, and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
