Geoff Johns Trolls Twitter Over Justice League Reshoots

DC Entertainment is busy prepping for its impending premiere of Justice League, but that doesn't mean the company can't have a bit of fun. Reshoots are currently underway for Justice League in London, but the studio's president isn't phased by the process. Over on Twitter, Geoff Johns just dropped a joke about the fan-reaction to Justice League's reshoots, and he did it at the expense of one social media impersonator.

Not long ago, Johns took to Twitter to reply to a message sent to him by a Joss Whedon wannabe. The fake account thanked the DC executive for "asking me to reshoot the entire Justice League movie." So, naturally, Johns needed to rib at the absurd statement.

"Did I mention we're going to put Spider-Man and Scooby Doo in it?" the executive wrote, leaving Twitter to applaud the man's response. The over-the-top answer is no doubt meant to poke fun at rumors which suggest Justice League is totally revamping itself under Whedon's watch.

Earlier this year, fans learned Whedon would be taking over post-production on Justice League. Director Zack Snyder bowed out of the film in order to be with loved ones after the death of his daughter. Whedon has been tapped to oversee the film's reshoots and editing.

Today has been full of social media impersonators as Marvel's James Gunn recently took one to task on Instagram. Someone posing as Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige tried to catfish Gunn online, but the director chose to simply play along with the crazy joke.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, based on a story by Snyder and Terrio, and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
