Justice League: Someone Brightened Up Amber Heard's Mera Costume

Zack Snyder's film universes tend to be visually stunning, but they aren't the most colorful affairs, favoring muted color palettes and overly gray tones in lieu of vibrant blues, reds, and yellows.

Such is the case with the recent introduction of Amber Heard's Mera costume, which received a plethora of positive feedback when it was released yesterday. Still, the same gray and dark tones were apparent in the official photos like all the photos that came before it, though thanks to some brightening efforts from a few fans, the costume's true beauty can really shine.

The first example is courtesy of Imgur user nxq9799, who posted a "clearer and unfiltered pic of Mera and her amazingly detailed costume", which you can view below. Without the grays, it's easy to pick out the yellow accents on the shoulder and head pieces, and all the intricate detailing in the armor's plating.

The second is from Twitter user @SJWMEGATRON, who captioned his updated photo with the caption "When you create a beautiful superhero costume but then remember it's in the snyderverse" In this version the multi-toned greens throughout the costume, as well as some of the silver accenting in the legs and torso.

Both are quite stunning, and it certainly makes it easier to appreciate just how much work goes into making these costumes pop on screen. Hopefully, that will be the case in the final film as well.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
