Kotobukiya Shows Off Sinestro ARTFX Statue

Statue maker Kotobukiya is giving the leader of the Fear Corp some shine with their newest ARTFX+ statue, Sinestro.

The 7' statue features his incredibly popular Yellow Lantern costume design and features incredibly bold yellows for his suit and purples for his skin tone. They even went over the suit with a bright gold to make it really pop against the black parts of the suit. The slightly pained facial expression is fine, as it does feature a significant likeness to the character in the books, but the pose is just not doing it for me.

The pose is described as "launching himself forward into battle with his right arm thrown out behind him". I get the look they were going for, but on its own it's going to look awkward. If you had another statue behind him, you could play it off as him simply shoving that person aside to get into someone's face, but as described, I don't think this one hits the mark.

For Sinestro fans, however, it's a really accurate rendering and would look great alongside some other Green Lantern themed statues. Sinestro will be available in October for $59.99, and can be pre-ordered here.
