Near Calamity
This is one of those moments that makes you realize how a slight turn from the hand of fate can change things drastically in your life...
Welcome to America
People from other countries hear about our never-ending wave of mass shootings; living it is, apparently, quite a different kind of culture shock.
Sympathy
Once his own safety was confirmed, McIntrye's immediate thought went to the victims who weren't as fortunate as him today.
Getting Spiritual
Even the most skeptical person woudld be allowed to feel a moment of soul-searching after such a tragic and violent event. McIntyre wasn't one to ignore his fortune.
Tense Wait
Like with any big calamity, waiting for things to truly feel safe again is tense process.
Relief
...That moment when the feeling of safety and security is found again.
Note of Hope
It wasn't all death and terror in the end...
Live Another Day
McIntyre let fans know when he was clear of the scene - the exact moment it probably started sinking in just how close tragedy came.
With all the death and destruction of this horrible attack, this is a small (but welcome) happy ending anecdote. We just wish everyone at that airport had one today...
