This Thursday, Powerless will make its long-awaited series debut on NBC! Until then, come check out the latest promo for the DC Comics-based comedy series.

As the new Director of Research and Development at Wayne Security, Emily Locke wants to see what products her team has been developing. Ron Funches's character excitedly shows her an invention that will prevent Superman from smashing through windows, but he hasn't thought it through.

"This glass is made of kyptonite," he explains. "So if Superman flies close to it, his powers will weaken and he'll safely pounce off."

"Nice!" his new boss exclaims. She then asks, "And how does it work when the people inside need help from Superman?"

Emily Locke lands her dream job as Director of Research and Development for Wayne Security in Charm City, home to super heroes and villains and citizens fed up with the collateral damage of their constant fighting. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her aspirations far exceed those of her new boss and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don't need superpowers to be a hero.

The cast: Vanessa Hudgens, Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi, Christina Kirk, and Ron Funches.

Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, Len Goldstein, Marc Buckland and Dean Lorey are executive producers of Powerless. Buckland served as the director of the pilot. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and is based on the characters from DC.
