New The Flash Set Photos Tease Two Villain Fight And Mysterious New Character

It looks like Barry Allen is assembling a speedster army on The Flash.

New photos from the Vancouver set of The Flash reveal returning allies and villains, as well as mysterious new characters.

Photos taken during filming of The Flash in downtown Vancouver reveal that Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) will return to Earth-1 from Earth-2 to fight alongside the Flash (Grant Gustin) and fellow heroes Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), Vibe (Carlos Valdes) and Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) against Savitar, Gorilla Grodd, and a new female villain whose identity has not yet been revealed.

Another set of photos reveals an unidentified actor playing a still unannounced character. He's wearing a red pilot's suit and matching cap with goggles, along with yellow boots and gloves and a white belt and mouth covering.

There's been no official word, but this character seems to be a dead ring for the Flash from Earth-19, called the Accelerated Man. Earth-19 is the Earth of the DC Comics multiverse where the story in the popular Gotham by Gaslight graphic novel, DC Comics' first ever Elseworlds tale, took place. Earth-19 is an Earth where superheroes appeared during the Industrial Revolution of the Edwardian era, which would explain the Accelerated Man's dated look and unusual name.

Earth-19 is also the home dimension of HR Wells, the new version of Harrison Wells that was introduced on The Flash earlier in Season 3.

Between Jesse Quick, Kid Flash, Jay Garrick, and now the Accelerated Man from Earth-19, it seems that the Flash may be building a speedster army. That would be consistent with the original Savitar story from the DC Comics Universe, which saw the "god of motion" thrust into the Speed Force by the assembled, extended Flash Family.
